Japan Consul General to speak at TWU May 3

DENTON – Yoshihiko Kamo, Consul General of Japan for Houston, will present “Japan’s Economic Comeback: How and Why” to TWU students and others on Wednesday, May 3.

The event, which is free and open the public, will take place at 2:30 p.m. in room 301 in the Administration and Conference Tower (ACT) located on Administration Drive on TWU’s campus in Denton. A question-and-answer session will follow the one-hour lecture. For more information, call (940) 898-2111.

Dr. Michiko Hayhurst, TWU assistant professor of business, invited Mr. Kamo to speak to her international business class.
“He will offer insight on the Japanese economy, whose ups and downs are linked to our own economic success,” Dr. Hayhurst said. “This also is a great opportunity for faculty, staff and others to be exposed to different perspectives on globalization.”
