DENTON —The
Texas Woman’s University Office of Lifelong Learning
is now offering “Human Resources for Healthcare Professionals”
training for those working in human resources in a healthcare
environment, such as a physician's office or hospital.
“Human Resources
for Healthcare Professionals” is an 80-hour, on-line
course and the cost is $1,795. For more information or to
register, visit www.twu.edu/lifelong
or call (800) 250-7808 or (940) 898-3408.
“The training
provides a comprehensive human resource management foundation
for those who intend to work or are working in healthcare
settings,” said Stephen Pense, program coordinator for
TWU’s Office of Lifelong Learning. “All of the
modules in this program instill a solid foundation in both
human resources and healthcare administrative practices.”
Upon successful
completion of this program, students will be able to identify
the types of healthcare organizations and describe the current
and future states of the healthcare industry. They also will
be able to discuss the criteria used to evaluate the effectiveness
of organizational recruitment efforts and compare and contrast
job performance, selection criteria and predictors.
No prerequisites
are required for the “Human Resources for Healthcare
Providers” course.
