TWU to celebrate
100 years of preparing teachers

DENTON —
Texas Woman’s University will kick off its celebration
of 100 years of teacher preparation programs with a reception
from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1 on the first floor of Stoddard
Hall, located on Bell Avenue on TWU’s Denton campus.
The public is invited to attend. For more information, contact
Dr. Jerry Whitworth, associate dean of the TWU College of

The reception will
feature birthday cake and punch as well as remarks from university
representatives and area educators. A brief history of TWU’s
teacher preparation programs also will be presented.
