TWU Drama heads
‘West of the Pecos’ for cowboy ballet
2/08/06

sound — as the Texas Woman’s University Department
of Drama stages a dinner theater production of “Zane
Grey’s West of the Pecos, A Cowboy Bal-let” Feb.
24-26.
The TWU presentation
— a cowboy ballet in pantomime — is an adaptation
of Mr. Grey’s romantic western novel by Dr. Tony Medlin,
assistant professor of drama, who also directs the play. TWU
music faculty member Joe Pinson, also known as “Mister
Joe,” composed an original score for the production.
Performances are
scheduled at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 24 and 25, and
at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at Fremaux’s Metropolitan
Catering, 932 W. University Drive in Denton. Ticket prices,
including dinner, are
$25 for adults
and $15 for students. Tickets for the play only are $5. To
make reservations, or for more information, contact the TWU
Box Office at (940) 898-2020.
The cast includes
