TWU to host workshop on addictive
eating Jan. 28

DENTON —
Issues of overeating will be presented in “Is Your Eating
Biting You?,” a workshop scheduled at 9 a.m. Saturday,
Jan. 28 at Texas Woman’s University.
The workshop, which
is free and open to the public, will be held in room 004 of
the Human Development Building (HDB) on the university’s

Anyone applying for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) should
register between 8:45 and 9 a.m. For more information, call

Tonna Brock, a
licensed professional counselor, and Rosemarie McCarroll,
a certified HopeStone provider, will lead the workshop. Brock
is the author of “Overeating? 500 Excuses and 500 Solutions,”
and was the owner and director of Sherman and McKinney Family
Counseling Centers for 11 years. She graduated from TWU with
a master of education degree in early childhood education
and a master of science in counseling and development.
Brock will sign
copies of her book immediately following the workshop.
McCarroll is the
founder and director of HopeStone Centre, an outpatient treatment
center in Calgary, Canada. For more than 11 years, the center
has provided help for those who suffer from overweight, obesity
and addictive eating.
