acclaimed pianist Aldo Mancinelli to perform at TWU

DENTON — Aldo Mancinelli, the first American to win
the coveted Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition,
will perform Thursday, Feb. 16, at Texas Woman’s University.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Margo Jones Performance
Hall, located at Oakland and Sawyer streets on TWU’s
Denton campus. Admission

The program will
include works by Beethoven, Brahms, Corroa and Liszt.
Mr. Mancinelli,
a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Academia
di Santa Cecilia in Rome, has performed more than 950 concerts
throughout the United States, Europe, North Africa and the
Middle East. He made his New York debut as soloist with the
National Orchestral Association in Carnegie Hall, and has
appeared as guest soloist with major symphony orchestras in
the United States and Europe, including the Hague Philharmonic,
the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Santa Cecilia Orchestra
in Rome and the Dallas Symphony.
