Zephyr Winds to Perform at TWU

DENTON — Zephyr Winds, Texas Woman's University's faculty woodwind quintet, will be in concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1 in the Margo Jones Performance Hall, located at Oakland and Sawyer streets on TWU's Denton campus. Admission is free.
Dr. Richard Shuster, TWU assistant professor of music, will join the quintet on piano for Ludwig Thuille's Sextet in B-flat major, Opus 6 . Dr. Pamela Youngblood, a founding member of Zephyr Winds, said the sextet, with its "romantic style and lush, beautiful themes," is the main piece of the program.
Youngblood will join with Dr. Michael Harcrow on horn and Gabriel Bita on piano for Muller Serenade and Katherine Hoover's Summer Night .
The TWU faculty woodwind quintet is comprised of Youngblood on flute; Harcrow on horn; Dr. James Hobbs, oboe; Garry Evans, clarinet; and Noel Garcia, bassoon.
