Texas Governor's Commission for Women

The Governor's Commission for Women was established by Executive Order in 1967. Commissioners are appointed by the Governor to two-year terms and meet on a quarterly basis. The purpose of the Commission is to promote opportunities for Texas women through outreach, education, research and referral services.
