TWU library

Named after Dr. Mary Evelyn Blagg-Huey, the first female president of TWU, the library stands on the former site of Dormitory Row. In addition to the regular holdings, the library houses the Woman’s Collection, a major research collection on the history of American women. The collection also houses the University Archives, which contains historical information about TWU, Denton and notable women. One of the largest cookbook collections in the country — including some books that date back to the 1600s — also is found in the library. The library also houses the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) archives.
