Profile
Ellen Broom is an adjunct professor at Texas Woman’s University. She holds certifications in General Education, Special Education, and Emotional/Behavioral Disorders and Autism. Dr. Broom is also a licensed diagnostician. Before obtaining her doctorate, she worked in the public schools as a special educator with children identified as emotionally disturbed, learning disabled, autistic and mentally retarded. She has worked as an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas, University of South Carolina and Texas Christian University. Her areas of interest include neurological and achievement assessment, psychological issues with children, and educating students with disabilities in general education classrooms.
