Profile
For the past 10 years, Amanda has been educating undergraduate and graduate college students in her role as a student affairs administrator at the University of Arkansas and the University of Denver. Her practice focused on undergraduate persistence, leadership development, multicultural awareness, and assessment and evaluation. While working at the University of Denver, Amanda completed her doctorate in Higher Education. Her research agenda includes inclusive teaching pedagogies, Latina/o persistence in education, white identity development in teacher education, and classroom/institutional ecology. Amanda’s teaching philosophy emphasizes inclusive learning environments where multicultural perspectives and experiences are incorporated into the classroom. Her goal is to create a community of learners where everyone contributes to the learning process.
