Profile

Prior to joining Texas Woman’s University in July 2004, Dr. Restine served as the Associate Dean in the College of Education at the University of Alabama, as Interim Associate Dean in the College of Education and Associate Head of the School of Curriculum and Educational Leadership at Oklahoma State University, and as an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences at Western Kentucky University. Her public school experience includes teaching and administrative experience in New Mexico and Texas public schools.

Among Dr. Restine's scholarly interests are leadership prepration and practice in educational contexts, internships and experiential learning, and professional development. Her national professional service activities include representing the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (AACTE) as a member of the Board of Examiners for the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). She currently serves as a reviewer for professional journals and maintains her involvement in the University Council of Educational Administration (UCEA) after having served as a plenary representative and as a member of the UCEA Executive Committee.
