Profile
Texas Woman’s University welcomed Dr. Rhonda McClellan in the fall of 2005. She brings with her educational leadership teaching experience from New Mexico State University where she taught for two years after receiving her doctorate in educational leadership from Oklahoma State University. During her doctoral program, she worked with OSU’s Educational Extension office as a dissertation editor for a Thai cohort. Simultaneously, she served as a full-time, tenured faculty member at Northern Oklahoma College, teaching composition, literature, and humanities. Before completing her M.A. in English and a M. Ed. in Community College English Teaching and teaching in higher education, she taught high school English.
The love of the liberal arts and educational leadership bring Dr. McClellan to Texas Woman’s University—and the company of her partner, Steve Love, a biology teacher/football coach at Denton High School, and their Shih Tzu, Linus, makes Denton home. Her professional loves include research in the educational leadership areas of social justice, spirituality, gender studies, and preparation programs.
