Profile
Gay Ingram is enjoying her fifth year at Texas Woman’s University as a supervisor of principal interns. Her prior educational experience of thirty years was in a public school setting where she served as a teacher of various grades, an elementary consultant, Director of Guidance and Counseling and an elementary school principal. Gay appreciates each opportunity to advocate for children and youth and believes that a sound education under the guidance and leadership of talented, caring leaders is the best answer to many of the challenges facing society today. She is excited about the promise of tomorrow’s educators and their ability to inspire students to discover their talents and to recognize the unlimited opportunities that only an excellent education can afford.
Gay’s personal interests are consumed with the joy of grandmothering four grandchildren and making a difference in the community as director of a mentoring program in an impoverished area of the city of Fort Worth.
