Requirements and Procedures
Undergraduate Admissions
All new students seeking admission to TWU must submit:
- a completed application form
- an application fee
- official transcript(s)
- THEA (Texas Higher Education Assessment) test scores

To obtain acceptance into the undergraduate program for Teacher Certification, you must have:
- Successfully completed EDUC 2003 (C or better) or concurrent enrollment in EDUC 2003/3003
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75
- THEA Scores: Reading 260, Mathematics 240, Writing 240
- Grade of B or better in SPCH 1013, or a performance Drama or Theater course that requires demonstration of self expression/speaking ability, or acceptable Oral Screening evaluation
Graduate Admissions
Procedures and requirements are as follows:
- Submit a TWU graduate application and $30 application fee ($50 for international students).
- Submit official transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate coursework.
- Achieve at least a 3.0 GPA on the last 60 hours chronologically.
- Achieve at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA on all undergraduate and graduate coursework.
- Submit THEA scores of 260 or above on the Reading section and 240 or above on the Math and Writing sections.

Master of Education in Elementary Education
Procedures and requirements are as follows:
- Submit a TWU graduate application and $30 application fee ($50 for international students).
- Submit required Department of Teacher Education material
- Submit official transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate coursework.
- Achieve at least a 3.0 GPA on the last 60 hours chronologically.

Master of Arts and Master of Education in Educational Administration
Procedures and requirements are as follows:
- Submit a TWU graduate application and $30 application fee ($50 for international students).
