Mock Interview Program (online resource)
InterviewStream simulates an interview so students are able to practice for any internship or job interview with the use of a computer and a webcam. Students can choose from a database of over 6,500 questions that can be cutomized to fit students interests, or tailored to a specific field.
InterviewStream is FREE for all TWU students and alumni. To get started, create an account using your TWU email address.
Career Library – A small collection of Career Books is available for reference in the Student Life Office Suite 3600.
The books are specifically designed for students with interest in the healthcare industry and cover topics such as cover letter and resume writing, interviewing skills, job search and networking, professionalism and communication and career information in nursing, occupational and physical therapies, and health care administration/ management.
You can check-out any of these through the student life office on presentation of a student ID card for a period of two (2) weeks. Late returns attract a fine of $1.00 per day. Classroom Presentations – Professional staff from the Denton Career Services Department will present on such topics as resume preparation, interviewing techniques and dressing for success.
Job Search Guide – A comprehensive Job Search Guide is available to provide assistance with the job search process including interviewing tips, sample resumes and much more. Students can pick up a free copy of the Job Search Guide from the Student Life Office Suite 3600 or visit http://www.twu.edu/career-services/job-search-appointments.asp. Graduates/alumni (degree required) visit http://www.twu.edu/career-services/degree-required.asp.
Job Postings – Health employment opportunities are posted on the Career Services web page at http://www.twu.edu/career-services/ and also on the S.G.A. Blackboard Announcement page. You may visit the Resource Center in the Student Life Office to search the Career binder for opportunities as well.
Job Search preparation – To receive resources to assist you with your job search, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, include your major, career interest (specific type of job sought), geographic location in which you wish to work and a current resume (attaché as a word document.)
Mock Interviews – Call Career Services on 940-898-2950 to set up a telephone mock interview with one of our staff. The staff member will call you at the schedule time and the telephone mock interview will last about an hour.
Resume Critiques – Email your resume to email@example.com to have your resume critiqued by a professional staff member from the Denton Career Services Department.
