The Student Government Association (SGA)  at Texas Woman's University represents all members of the student body through its various branches. Whether you are a new, returning or graduate student, every student has an opportunity to shape the campus community by participating and getting involved. SGA at TWU is unique in that it includes the following branches:

The SGA Executive Board is comprised of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations and the presidents of each of the branches mentioned below.
 

The Senate is the legislative branch of SGA and serve as the active voice of the student body. Most recently Senate has passed legislation regarding TWU's smoking policy that was put into effect June 1, 2011.
 

The House of Representatives is the segment of SGA that works directly with and for student organizations. This entity also provides funding for student organizations through the Student Leadership Development Fund (SLDF) and the Student Organization Development Fund (SOPF).
 

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is responsbile for all large events, social programming, and activities that are available for all TWU students. This board is run my an officer board, however any student can join The Hive by becoming a Stinger!

The Residence Hall Association is the branch of SGA that services the over 1600 student that live on campus. If you are interested in being a voice for yourself and your new neighbors join the Hall Council for your residence hall today!
