Employee Benefits: Military Leave

University employees who are members of the State Military Forces or the reserve components of the Armed Forces are entitled to a leave of absence not to exceed 15 working days in a federal fiscal year for authorized training or duty without loss of time, efficiency rating, vacation time, or salary. A federal fiscal year is October 1 through September 30. The 15 days need not be consecutive. An individual desiring military leave must present a copy of his or her official orders requiring the individual to attend authorized training to the Office of Human Resources (OHR).
