TWU 2010 Strategic Plan Assumptions

  • State funding will not increase significantly.
  • Sufficient resources will be available to encourage growth and excellence.
  • Sufficient classroom, laboratory and residence hall space will be available to support growth and excellence.
  • Sufficient infrastructure will be maintained to help accomplish strategic plan goals.

TWU 2010 Strategic Plan Goals

Size:
TWU will enroll a minimum of 14,000 students (including distance learners).

Quality:
TWU will graduate students who have the knowledge, skills and abilities to excel in their careers in the 21st century.

Reputation:
TWU will achieve a significant number of nationally known programs and faculty and be recognized for excellence.

TWU will become a destination for graduate study and applied research in the professional field and be recognized as such.

Resources:
TWU will continue to be a fiscally sound and accountable public university and seek external funding to support growth and excellence.

Partnerships:
TWU will engage in innovative partnerships and collaborations that enhance students' professional and personal preparation and/or benefit the citizens of Texas.
