Hi, I’m Ann McConville, Land Manager, Acquisitions and Divestitures, with Five States Energy Company, L.L.C in Dallas. My degree is a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Houston and I am a Certified Professional Landperson.

The best part of the trip was meeting all the wonderful people in Mexico and also making new friends in the EMBA program. We had such a small group that it enabled us to get to know each other better. I enjoyed the National Museum of Anthropology learning about the remains of ancient cultures from our wonderful tour guide, Erika, and each company we visited brought new knowledge of business dealings in Mexico. It was quite an experience!

Shopping has to be another favorite moment in Mexico, from silver merchants at the pyramids and Taxco townsquare, to the various markets in Acapulco. The most relaxing day was spent on a gondola boat ride, listening to Mariachi music, and peacefully gliding down a waterway. I enjoyed all aspects of the trip and recommend this trip to anyone considering it as an elective in the Executive MBA program.
