Creating a Pioneer Portal Account Pioneer Portal is your gateway to campus services and functions at TWU. Through the Portal, you will be able to:

Register for classes View and print unofficial transcripts Access grades View billing/financial aid information Pay your bill Locate university services Access your university email

Please note: You must create a Pioneer Portal account.
This is your official account with the University.
Once your Portal account has been created, your username and password will be the same for Portal, Blackboard, and Library services.
If you need to update your information or change your password, it must be done through Portal.
The changes will then be reflected in all three systems.

Creating a Portal Account

If you are new to TWU, you will need to create your Portal account.
Go to
www.twu.edu and click on the Portal icon.



At the login screen, select the option to create a NEW account and complete the online form.

Logging into the Portal

Go to www.twu.edu
and click on the Pioneer Portal button.
At the login screen, you will enter your username and password and press Login.

Overview of the Portal

Navigating the Portal is easy--just point and click.
A PowerPoint demo of the Portal's features is available for download.
Please take special note of your Student ID (also known as your Colleague ID) shown in the top box of the My Start Page.
Your academic advisor will need this number in order to give you an Advisor Code for registration.

Portal Email

Upon creating your Portal account, you will be assigned a University email account, which may be accessed through the Portal.
TWU uses a web-based version of Microsoft Outlook for its staff and student accounts.
Outlook is very user-friendly.
Your University email address is: YourPortalUsername@mail.twu.edu

To access your email account, log into Pioneer Portal and click on My Email.
Log into the system using the following format:

Username pioneer\YourPortalUsername
Password YourPortalPassword

If prompted for Domain name, leave the Domain field empty.
You should plan to check your email account daily for University or course information.
Some students prefer to send all email to one account.
If you choose, you can forward your Portal email to another account by completing the Forward Your Portal Email form.
