International Study Tour to Athens, Greece
Tues, November 6 – Wed, November 14, 2007

Greece, the cradle of Western civilization is a country that offers a fascinating blend of old and new, and where “East meets West”. From one vantage point, it’s a country on the rise – a bustling nation, stylish and grand. From another point of view, it is a land of history, ancient temples and glorious ruins.
During your visit to Athens, the birthplace of democracy, you will be given an orientation and cultural tour of the city including the Acropolis and its principal buildings: the Propylea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and the Parthenon Temple. During this panoramic tour of the city, you will view principal sights including the Temple of Olympian Zeus from the 6th century BC, the Royal Palace and the present day Parliament, the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, and the Ancient Stadium laid out in the 4th century BC and rebuilt in 1896 for the modern Olympic Games. We will also do full day trips out of the city: one to Delphi and the other to Argolis. Delphi is by common consent the most spectacularly beautiful ancient site in Greece.
