Dr. Garry Evans

Dr. Garry Evans serves as
the director of the TWU Wind Ensemble and clarinetist with the faculty
woodwind quintet, the Zephyr Winds. He also teaches music history,
conducting, and applied lessons on clarinet and saxophone. Dr. Evans serves
as the E-flat clarinetist with the Dallas Wind Symphony, “America’s Premier
Wind Band.” He is an active freelance artist who performs throughout the
North Texas region and is a former principal clarinetist with the Garland
and Las Colinas Symphony Orchestras. He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts
degree and the Master of Music degree in clarinet performance from the
University of North Texas, as well as the Bachelor of Music degree in
education from Tennessee Technological University. |
