Dennis Sloan holds an M.A. in Drama from Texas Woman’s
University and is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Arts and
Humanities at
the University of Texas at Dallas. His research interests
include American Drama,
Musical Theatre, and Film Studies.
He has directed productions appearing at Circle Theatre, the
Modern Art Museum of
Fort Worth, Music Theatre of Denton,
WaterTower Theatre, and Texas Woman’s University, among
others. He has served as Assistant Director for productions for
Jubilee Theatre, Collin Theatre Center, and Amphibian
Productions. He has also served in numerous administrative
capacities at Dallas Children’s Theater, which was named one of TIME
Magazine’s top five theatres for families in the nation. He was
Founding Artistic Director for S.T.E.P.S., a motivational
performance team funded by the
Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for the “College
For All Texans” initiative.
At TWU, he teaches courses in performance, playwriting,
stage management, musical theatre, and film |
