Susan Myatt
Studio Instructor/Dance Musician

Susan Myatt , Dance Musician, joined the TWU faculty/staff at Texas Woman's University as an Accompanist/Composer in 1975. She holds a Bachelor of Music in organ performance from The University of Oklahoma. Her musical training began with Johanna D. Fuhrman and Russell Baldwin in piano, and then expanded to organ studies with Doneta Weatherly, Mildred Andrews, and Charles Brown. She served as an assistant to Robert H. Ottman in Theory and the N.T.S.U. Madrigal Ensemble and is a voice student of Grant Williams.

Ms. Myatt has collaborated with many choreographers, including Marta Lichlyter, Dr. Joan Laage, Dr. Janice LaPointe-Crump, Dr. Kimberly Staley, and Dr. Penelope Hanstein. She accompanies dance master classes throughout the Metroplex and has worked with Holly Williams, Ron Young, Gracey Tune, Stephanie Woods Rand, Paul Mejia, Susan Marquis Friday, Marina Stovetskaya, Dinna Bjorn, Dr. Janice La Pointe-Crump, Bill Evans, and Claire Porter to name a few. In 1995, she performed with the North Texas Oratorio Society in their premier production of Crawford Gate's oratorio, Visions of Eternity, and has also sung with the Denton Community Theatre. She sang in the Denton Light Opera Company & Denton Civic Ballet's joint production of Oh Gershwin! and debuted as Music Director for their production of Cynthia Parker in 1996.
