Nycole Ray

Adjunct Instructor of Dance

Nycole Ray a Detroit native and proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Nycole graduated from The California Institute of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She received additional dance training through a pilgrimage to the Gambia of West Africa with Bubba Chuck Davis of the African American Dance Theater, The London Contemporary Dance School in England, The California State Summer School of the Arts, and Wayne State University. Ms. Ray has performed with Walt Disney Entertainment, The Lula Washington Dance Theater, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company II, and Zadonu African Dance Company. In addition to her appearances in Europe and abroad, she has also appeared in numerous music videos, and industrials. She has choreographed for DBDT, DBDT II, and The Milwaukee Dance Connection. Her choreography has been featured in the U.S. and Europe. This marks her eighth season with Dallas Black Dance Theatre.
