Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) in Science and Mathematics was created by the Math/Science Network in 1976. Since then over 525,000 girls have participated in the EYH career conferences at 105 locales throughout the U.S. Since 1994 over 1,700 girls have participated in the EYH conferences in Denton for girls in grades 6-8, sponsored by Women's Education Network (WEN), American Association of University Woman (AAUW) and the Science and Mathematics Center for Women at TWU.
Girls attend workshops presented by women successful in careers in science, mathematics and technology. The girls are encouraged to take high school and college courses in these fields so that in the future all the doors of opportunity will be open to them. The EYH at TWU serves students from Lewisville, Denton Flower Mound, Coppell, Argyle, The Colony, Highland Village, Ponder, Sanger, Pilot Point and other cities in Denton County.
This EYH is made possible through partnership with the Denton and Greater Lewisville branches of AAUW, TWU and other area organizations for women and girls.
Registration
Registration fee is $10.00 which includes refreshments and materials. Lunch is not included. Your completed registration form and fee must be received by February 7, 2004. Plan to arrive at TWU by 8:15a.m. on February 21 to pick up your information packet in the foyer on the first floor of the Multipurpose Classroom-Laboratory Building (MCL).

From Lewisville or Coppell take I-35 north. Turn right on Loop 288, left on Hwy. 380 (East University Drive) and left on Bell Avenue. The MCL Building will be on the left, at the corner of Bell Avenue and College Street. You may park in lots near the building.
A bus is available for a limited number of students, leaving Lewisville High School parking lot at 7:30 a.m. and returning to the LHS parking lot about 1:00p.m. Bus fee is $2 round trip.
