Non-Degree Seeking Admissions

SLIS admits Library Science non-degree seeking students who meet one of the following two conditions when spaces are available:

1. The applicant already has an MLS degree;

or

2. The applicant is in the process of applying for SLIS degree-seeking admission and must take a SLIS course(s) immediately to meet the requirement of employment or financial aid agency, in which case the applicant must arrange a letter from the employer or financial aid agency on its letterhead with signature to be sent directly to the SLIS office.

To apply as a non-degree seeking student, please submit the following materials:

• ApplyTexas online application form
• Application fee 
• Official transcript from most recent institution attended (must show last 12 hours completed)

Applications for Library Science non-degree seeking admission are reviewed by the SLIS Director.
