Dr. Judi Moreillon, TWU SLIS Assistant Professor, along with Dr. Karen Dunlap, Associate Professor in the TWU Department of Teacher Education, earned an Exemplary Faculty Practices recognition from the Center for Research, Evaluation, and Advancement of Teacher Education (CREATE) in the Quest for Quality: Teacher Preparation in Texas initiative. The CREATE initiative intends to identify creative or innovative practices and nomination materials that include evidence of: 
  • Developing knowledge in the disciplines
  • Modeling pedagogy
  • Using technology
  • Addressing diversity and equity
  • Creating experiential learning
  • Investigating, analyzing, and solving problems
  • Assessing learning 

The submissions are independently reviewed and selected by state and national reviewers, along with CREATE staff. 

Dr. Moreillon's part in this project involves students in LS 5443 Librarians as Instructional Partners. In that course, students participate in a Marketing and Advocacy Project in which collaborative teams synthesize their course learning and post it to the TWU Pioneer School Library wiki.

 LS 5443 students who have contributed their learning to the site share this award with Drs. Moreillon and Dunlap.
