It is a privilege to welcome both internal and external readers to Texas Woman’s University’s (TWU) SACS-COC Compliance Certification document. For about two years, faculty and staff from the University’s three campuses have been involved in a comprehensive evaluation of TWU’s performance and progress during the development of this self-study. The collaborative effort by members of the University community that culminated in this report is to be applauded. Since TWU’s last reaffirmation of accreditation in 2002, the University has experienced unprecedented student growth, and has migrated to a philosophy and practice of continuous institutional improvement as illustrated in its organization, educational programs, and support initiatives.
The TWU Compliance Certification includes narrative responses to each SACS-COC core requirement, comprehensive standard, and federal requirement accompanied by supporting evidence. I invite you to learn more about TWU by exploring the document because you will discover a university dedicated to achieving its mission through an education which “ignites potential, purpose and a pioneering spirit.”
