TWU SAFETY COMMITTEE

This site has been developed to deliver to you the plans and goals of the TWU Safety Committee.  The Safety Committee, appointed from academic, administrative and service departments within the University, shall serve in an advisory capacity to the Risk Manager.

The responsibility for the administration of the University's Environmental and Occupational Safety Program is assigned to the Director for Facilities Management/Risk Manager.

However, the implementation of and adherence to the safety policy is the responsibility of faculty, staff, students and other individuals associated with the University.

  • PROMOTE SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAMS FOR ALL EMPLOYEES
  • CONSIDER EMPLOYEES SAFETY SUGGESTIONS AND CONCERNS

  • DEVELOP ALTERNATIVE OPERATIONAL SOLUTIONS FOR COMPLEX SAFETY PROBLEMS
  • PROMOTE INTEREST IN AND SUPPORT SAFETY AMONG FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS
  • REVIEW PROPOSED SAFETY PLANS AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS ON ENVIRONMENTAL AND OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH RELATED ISSUES.
