The mission of the Texas Woman's University's Environmental/Occupational Safety and
Health program is to provide a comprehensive and continuing accident prevention, training and
inspection program that is compatible with the functions and purposes for the University.
The program provides guidelines to help maintain a healthful and safe environment for study, research,
service and employment, while promoting safety and health practices by the faculty,staff and student.

Federal and State safety and health standards shall serve as a basis for practices and
prodedures outlined in the TWU Environmental/Occupatonal Safety and Health program.

TWU Environmental/Occupational Safety and Health program is an integral part of every academic, staff,
and student body function, at all facilities, occupied or operated by the Texas Woman's University.
