PROGRAM STATEMENT

The purpose of the Additional Duty Safety Officer Program is for the University Safety Office to establish a  relationship with every department at Texas Woman's University.  You, the appointee, will represent  your department.

Responsibility
The appointee will disseminate safety information to co-workers (including student employees).  These may be in the form of a memo, flyer or letter.

You may be asked to simply post information and sometimes you will need to get signatures for documenting purposes.

You will be able to organize departmental safety training programs.  You will not Resolve any safety issues. You may be asked by your co-workers to  communicate those issues to the Safety Office.  You can contact the Safety Office for safety questions, comments or concerns.
