TWU's Occupational Health & Safety programs provide accident prevention and loss control measures that address specific safety hazards, and health issues in the workplace. Effective accident prevention and loss control programs are the most effective cost containment measures the University can implement to reduce exposure. Accidents may be prevented by eliminating workplace hazards and redesigning job tasks or job sites to prevent occupational accidents. Occupational hazards that cannot be eliminated may be controlled through administrative controls such as procedures and employee training, and other loss control methods.
