| Description of research activities: My research focuses on life-threatening arrhythmias and their treatment in the pediatric population. My primary focus has been on adolescents with implantable cardioverter defibrillators in the past, but I am currently expanding that focus to include parents of children who have survived a sudden cardiac arrest. I have conducted both qualitative and quantitative studies in this area. I am also interested in studying the psychosocial impact of having a chronic cardiac condition in children and adolescents, particularly in those with genetic diseases that put them at risk for sudden cardiac death. | |
