General:
Posters should be self-explanatory,
allowing the viewer to enjoy and understand your
presentation even in your absence. Most likely, several
individuals will be looking at your poster at one time. If
your poster is prepared with
simple labels, large print, and a clear
sequence from beginning to end, the viewer will be able
to follow the ideas presented. Funding is
available from TWU for the printing of your poster through
one of the two on-campus printing services.
application form to request funding.
TWU will conduct the following workshops on creating your poster presentation:
-
Thursday March 27, 2008 11:00 am to
12:00 (ASB 105)
-
Friday March 28, 2008 drop by Brian
Elmore’s office in Stoddard Hall 302 between 8am-1pm
or 2pm-5pm
-
Monday March 31, 2008 2:30-3:30 pm (ASB
211)
On-Campus Printing Services
There are two places on-campus to have posters printed,
Instructional Support Services and Kinesiology. Because
of the volume of presentations to the Student Symposium
and Homecoming activities, it is strongly advised that
you begin working with your choice of print facilities
ASAP.
Instructional Support Services (ISS)
To have your poster printed
by ISS, contact Brian Elmore at 81-3784 or email
BElmore@twu.edu. The final file
(ready to print) must be received by ISS no later than
Monday, April 14, 2008. You need to contact Brian NOW
in order to start this process.
