| Description of research activities: Dr. McFarlane's research has focused on testing interventions to promote abused women’s safety and the growth and development of their children. She is presently researching depression and older women and the evaluation of an intervention to decrease depression. The intervention is delivered by home health aides and has great potential for further testing among populations at risk to depression, such as abused women as well as teenagers. | |
