Description of research activities:  Most of my research/scholarly activities have been in the area of children’s health. I am very interested in the prevention of risk behaviors in children and adolescents, which includes, but is not limited to: body image and eating disorder prevention, childhood obesity prevention, substance abuse prevention, etc. I’m also interested in the prevention of child abuse and neglect.  I am interested in expanding my research activities to include health literacy, women’s health, and health disparities.  As a new faculty member at TWU, I’m trying to get my “feet on the ground” and figure out my best plan of action.
