| Description of research activities: Dr. Brock is currently directing student research on the meaning of sexuality in the lives of adults aged 60 and older, and on the family systemic effects of elective abortion. Recently completed research by her students focused on these topics: how individuals come to identify themselves as bisexual; how family systems are affected when a child is sexually abused by a priest; how family therapists select their theoretical orientations; family interactions and juvenile sex offending; how African American family therapists use a strengths perspective in working with African American families. | |
