| Description of research activities: Dr. Will de Chaparro's research centers on death and dying in the Southwest, during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Currently, she is working on a book manuscript that examines New Mexicans' beliefs and practices related to death and dying. Integrating faith, intellectual life, and politics, the manuscript will add to our understanding of religious and political life while offering opportunities for comparative work with other regions in the Americas. | |
