| Description of research activities: Dr. Hanstein's research includes the examination of the nature of the artistic process in dance based on phenomenological narratives of choreographers-at-work and cartographic analysis (the mapping of ideas). Her focus is on the epistemology of choreographic practice and includes such process contexts as ways of working with movement to mediate ideas, choice-making and the intentionality of the artist and the work, and dialoguing with the emerging form. | |
