The Sponsored Programs Information Network (SPIN) is a database where one can access funding information as well as access to selected Request For Proposals (RFPs) from the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) and the entire Federal Register (FR).

SPIN provides ready access to the most current funding information available in the SPIN files. Information is accessed through a system of related or hierarchical menus of directories and files so that searching SPIN seems to be intuitive, or at least very clear. Menu items send users directly to the SPIN, CBD, and FR. A topical list of disciplines goes from Agriculture to Science and Technology entries. Under each discipline are dozens of funding agency records. Individual agency records provide a contact name, address, phone, applicant requirements and program abstract. Other menus allow for searching by keywords, deadlines dates and sponsors in these same records.
