Chancellor’s Research Fellows Program

The Chancellor's Research Fellows Program will bring additional resources and peer support together for two cohorts of TWU faculty. The main objectives are:

  • to identify faculty with strong potential for obtaining external research funding (the Protégé Cohort),
  • to match those faculty with experienced mentors (the Mentor Cohort), and
  • to provide additional research support that will help both Protégés and Mentors succeed.

In addition to supporting faculty who need some assistance to begin obtaining external research funding, the program is also designed to provide resources for faculty who have been successful in research. Therefore, each Protégé will be matched with someone at TWU to serve as her/his Mentor. Whenever possible, Protégés will be matched with a faculty member in their same academic component. However, someone outside a Protégé’s home unit could still be an effective Mentor for building a research program and obtaining funding.

The Chancellor's Research Fellows Program is in its fifth year at TWU.
