| Description of research activities: Dr. Vittrup conducts research on parent-child relationships. Previous research and publications include parents’ and children’s perceptions of corporal punishment and other discipline methods, the emergence of discipline, and the role of children’s reactions to discipline in internalization processes. Dr. Vittrup also conducts research on children’s media use, parental involvement with children’s media use, and the socialization of children’s racial attitudes. | |
