Description of Research Activities Two lines of research are currently underway. The first line investigates multisensory processing in children with hearing impairments. Specifically, we are investigating whether young children with hearing loss demonstrate above or below average performance in tasks related to the functions of the spared sensory systems (vision, taction and proprioception) in comparison to their normal-hearing peers. The second line examines the role of auditory feedback in speech produced by children and adults with cochlear implants. |
