At the June 8, 2001 meeting of the Board of Regents of the Texas Woman's University, a motion was approved:
"that the person(s) authorized to sign contracts for the University be permitted to sign contracts up to $100,000," "that contracts $100,000 and over be brought to the Board of Regents for approval," and "that the Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee be allowed to authorize such contracts prior to the next meeting of the Board of Regents." Also "that all subcontracts for grants be considered as grants and be reported to the Board of Regents in the 'Grants Approval and Acceptance' portion of the Board of Regents meeting."
At the August 29, 2003 meeting of the Board of Regents of the Texas Woman's University a motion was approved to change the $100,000 figure to $500,000 wherever it appeared in the above Policy. It was further moved and approved that contracts between $500,000 and $999,000 must be authorized by the Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee and that all contracts $1,000,000 and above must be brought to the Board of Regents for approval.
