PT 4123: Anatomy Online
*** Registration is closed for Summer 2008 ***
This is an
introductory medically-oriented anatomy course conducted entirely online. It
is specifically designed for undergraduate students planning to attend the
School of Physical Therapy at TWU. It provides an introduction or “head
start” to Human Gross Anatomy (PT 5015) taken in the Fall semester at TWU,
and uses the same textbook and is taught by the same instructor that teaches
Anatomy at the Houston campus. The basic anatomy of the extremities and
back; with particular emphasis on muscles, blood vessels, nerves and joints,
is covered. The course will highlight the clinical relevance of important
anatomical structures to related clinical conditions. This course is
recommended for students with little or nor anatomy background. While the
course was initially designed for pre-PT students, other students seeking a
general anatomy class have taken this class.
