5903.50 Pediatric Neuroscience
This course will begin with a review of embryology and will
explore the conditions under which both typical and atypical development occur.
Emphasis will be placed on understanding the relationship between structure and
function of the nervous system as it relates to children with disabilities.

Overview of health delivery systems in the US. Emphasis on
government and private sector involvement in health services with
applications for physical therapists including reimbursement issues for
older adults. Includes a 1-day session in Austin (or alternate
state) to become involved in the legislative process.

The student will learn to secure and critically analyze published
