Dissemination
Designed primarily for doctoral students. The course emphasis is on
scholarly writing. Topics will include contemporary research problems in
physical therapy selected by instructor and students.

Instrumentation in Physical Therapy
Emphasis on developing advanced
knowledge of the theory and application of data acquisition using high tech
instrumentation such as electromyography, gait analysis, muscular strength
testing, etc. Topics adapted to student interests.

Format: Three 2-day weekends on-site.

Spinal Manipulation for the Physical Therapists
Advanced level course on spinal
thrust mobilization/manipulations. Intensive hand-on skills in a
laboratory format with limited enrollment. Previous manual therapy
experience is required. This course requires registration with TWU for
academic credit and an additional fee ($234.72) made directly by contacting Tina

5903.41 Anatomy and Physiology of Women: A Lab Course
An intensive study of the anatomy and physiology of the urogenital and
endocrine systems of women. Includes cadaveric dissection and laboratory
study of the female reproductive tract, external genitalia, pelvic floor,
breasts and related structures. In addition, there will be reviews of
endocrinology, the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, micturition, and menopause.
Taught in a problem-based learning format using case studies.

Format: Three 2-day weekends on-site.
When: February 12 &13, April 16 & 17, and May 7 & 8, 2005.
Course applies toward Certificate in Women's Health available for Physical
Therapists.
