Other courses will be considered for elective credit with consent of academic advisor.

This course reviews embryology and explores the conditions under which typical and atypical development occur.  Emphasis is on understanding the relationship between structure and function of the nervous system as it relates to children with disabilities.

Pediatric Outcome Measures

This course examines standardized tests commonly used in pediatric rehabilitation for the purpose of identifying objective tests and substantiating outcomes of therapeutic interventions.  On-site sessions emphasize practice with children and clinical problem-solving.

Motor Control in Pediatrics

This course emphasizes current theories of motor learning and motor control as they apply to the evaluation and therapeutic management of children with disabilities.

Assistive and Adaptive Technology for Pediatric Clients

From orthotics to computer-based environmental controls, this course is a comprehensive exploration of the adaptive equipment needs of children with disabilities.
